MySQL 5.7や8.0の新規のパッチ提供終了に伴うリスクとバージョンアップ戦略
MySQL 5.7は2023年10月に新規のパッチやセキュリティ修正の提供が終了し、オラクルの「ライフタイム・サポート」のステージのSustaining Supportのステージに入っています。Sustaining Supportではサポートへのお問い合わせは可能ですが、修正プログラムが提供されないほか、セキュリティ・アラートおよびCritical Patch Updatesによる脆弱性情報の提供が行われません。またMySQL 8.0も2026年4月にSustaining Supportとなる予定です。
オラクルでは長期間、安定した運用を実現するためにメジャーリリース後8年間の長期サポートを行うLTS (Long-term Support)リリースを提供しています。現時点で最新のLTSであるMySQL 8.4は2024年4月にリリースされています。
このウェビナーでは、MySQL 5.7や8.0を最新のLTSであるMySQL 8.4にバージョンアップしないことによるリスクやバージョンアップ作業の手順について解説します。MySQL 5.7からMySQL 8.4への直接のバージョンアップは公式にはサポートされていません。したがって、MySQL 5.7からMySQL 8.0へバージョンアップし、さらにMySQL 8.0からMySQL 8.4へのバージョンアップが必要です。このウェビナーでは、この2段階のバージョンアップ手順を解説します。
