Be a Hero! Deliver high performance and high availability for a fraction of the cost of other database technologies.
MySQL Cluster is an industry proven real-time database specifically designed for high throughput telecom and IP network applications. MySQL Cluster is deployed by major mobile and fixed line operators as well as being a key enabling technology in market-leading applications from network solution and equipment providers.
For operators, MySQL Cluster delivers dramatically lower hardware costs and reduced database license costs.
For software vendors and equipment providers, MySQL Cluster enables competitive pricing and improved margins.

You can download the community edition of MySQL Cluster in binary and source formats.
The tools and services discussed below can be used to accelerate the installation and configuration process.
The MySQL Cluster Sandbox, and the Configurator discussed below, were developed as an Open Source project by individuals working in the MySQL Professional Services organization. The MySQL Cluster Sandbox provides access to simple development and evaluation packages for localhost deployment, enabling you to quickly create your own MySQL Cluster environment.
The Sandbox packages contain a number of scripts to install, setup, and run MySQL Cluster using a variety of replication methods and database sizes. The Sandbox can also be used to test replication between two clusters, running on a localhost.
The Sandbox allows developers to familiarize themselves with the MySQL Cluster environment and test initial application design concepts. Once ready, developers can move to the MySQL Cluster Configurator to install and test a real MySQL Cluster deployment.
The MySQL Cluster Configurator is designed to enable users to create real, production-grade configurations across multiple hosts.
The Configurator is fully customizable and let's developers specify storage options (ie in-memory or disk-based data), replication roles and the version of MySQL Cluster to use (either the latest 6.3 or 7.0 GA release). Users can define their own ports in order to test the consolidation of multiple MySQL Cluster data nodes onto a single host, and the number of cores available to each node in order to evaluate the multi-threaded NDB kernel within the MySQL Cluster 7.0 GA release.
Once all options have been defined, a configuration is created based on best practices.
Scripts are available to start and stop the cluster, and individual nodes within it. Users can also show the status of each node within the cluster, take back-ups, perform rolling restarts, and other management tasks.
MySQL Cluster Capacity Planning can be provided by the "sizer" tool, which has been used to scope many large-scale MySQL Cluster deployments. The data model can be created in MySQL Cluster and then sizing run on each table. The tool outputs a csv file which can be imported into the supplied spreadsheet from where the user can change the number of records for the tables (to anticipate future growth). The tool then scopes how many data nodes, RAM and DISK storage are required to successfully run MySQL Cluster.
MySQL Cluster JumpStart is a recommended starting point for MySQL Cluster projects. Senior consultants use proven methodologies and expertise in database clustering, replication, fail-over, fault-tolerance and other HA techniques to jump-start high-availability database projects. The Jump Start service concludes with a recommended project roadmap to successfully implement MySQL Cluster.
An Authorized MySQL instructor will teach you the important details of clustering to help you get started with MySQL Cluster. The training demonstrates how to properly configure and manage the cluster nodes to ensure high availability, how to install the different nodes and provides a better understanding of the internals of the cluster.
