12 December 2005 — MySQL and Business Objects today announced the signing of a new OEM referral agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will jointly sell integrated solutions that combine the MySQL Network database subscription service with business intelligence software from Business Objects. The new solutions offer customers a cost-effective way to deploy an integrated business intelligence and database solution, at a fraction of the cost associated with traditional, proprietary databases.
5 December 2005 — MySQL AB has been selected as a technology partner for development of Alcatel's future carrier-grade multimedia communication products. Under the agreement, Alcatel will use the high-availability MySQL Cluster database as the repository for key subscriber information, which has to be available in real time whenever a phone call is made or any network service is accessed.

14 September 2005 — MySQL AB today announced the appointment of industry-veteran Dennis P. Wolf as executive vice president and chief financial officer. 9 August 2005 — Novell and MySQL AB today announced an agreement to deliver enhanced, combined support for key components of the popular open source LAMP infrastructure stack. Under the reseller and joint-support agreement, the only accord of its kind between a Linux vendor and MySQL AB, Novell will now offer subscriptions to the MySQL Network commercial database service directly to its customers.
